Con la pubblicazione nel 2007 del libro "WIKINOMICS", il canadese Don Tapscott, è entrato nel ghota dei 100 pensatori più rivoluzionari ed influenti al mondo. Il suo best seller ha segnato una pietra miliare nella nuova economia della condivisione che avrebbe successivamente e nuovamente travolto l'economia mondiale con modelli impensabili solo fino a qualche anno fa.
Secondo Tapscott questa rivoluzione è già "superata". Aziende della Sharing Economy quali Uber e AirBnb, sono già a rischio ancora prima di giungere alla quotazione in borsa a causa di una nuova rivoluzione, la quinta, che riguarderà la finanza e l'economia ma non solo.
